Thanks Mick for posting this faded glory themed pic to #LuxvilleTales. Here is your story.
MISS PAT.
He poured the whiskey neat into a large tumbler with a heavy base. He placed the bottle on the tray, it clinked with the others.
He took a sip before he turned around and walked to the large overstuffed armchair with the black floral pattern. He took care to flick the coaster to the floor before placing his drink on the arm of the chair.
He kicked off his shoes and left them lying in the middle of the room, on the pale cream carpet. He loosened his tie and top shirt button. He released his belt and pant zip. He rubbed his head behind his ear, leaving his hair guessing at its new coiffure.
He turned on the buffet lamp. He switched on the tele and then fell into the chair.
“Hello Miss Jane.”
“Hello Mr Squiggle.”
He clicked the remote without effect. He sipped his whiskey and studied the relationship of the two on screen. He wondered how a man might survive with a nose like that.
