Ode to Twirl.

When a woman twirls she puts herself first. She thinks only of herself, of her body, as she twirls. She moves to her own beat. She considers only her heart and body in motion. But women struggle to put ourselves first. We don’t feel safe. We prefer to save the world. We are pushed to bend convention yet frowned on when we do. We feel stronger together.

All under the guise of a simple twirl. We gather together to support ourselves to twirl and help others to twirl, if they need it.

Freedom is fragile. Our bodies are the front line. Our daughters are watching. Come and be filmed for inclusion in the next episode of Luxville.
